A Call for Volunteers
VOLUNTEER today! VOLUNTEERS ARE PMI-MIDLAND’S GREATEST ASSET!
Serving on a committee or service group is one of the best ways to become involved and make an impact in the Project Management Institute. Volunteers play a very important role by providing thoughtful input to deliberations while working toward accomplishing our goals. Volunteering provides you an opportunity to share your expertise, network with colleagues and enhance your Curriculum Vitae (CV). Current members are seriously encouraged to find out more about contributing their time and skills to a committee or service group that suits their interests and experience.
PMI as an organization could not be such a success without our great, dedicated volunteers. We are hoping to translate that success locally and we are counting on you to make this happen. If you would like to become more engaged, PMI-Midlands invites you to volunteer to serve on one or more of the following 2019/2020 Committees or Service groups. For more information about these Committees/Service Groups, please “Download a Detailed Volunteer Fact Sheet”
- Event Planning Network: Responsible for planning & executing most chapter events.
- Talent Network (Resource engagement & optimization): Responsible for identifying, booking, and managing speakers, panelists and presenters.
- Resource Fellows Network: Comprises individuals willing to volunteer as event Speakers, Presenters or Panelists or otherwise persons who have good contacts and are willing to recommend or connect us to great resources (i.e. Speakers, Presenters, Panelists etc.) that can fill available speaking or presentation slots.
For more information about volunteering to speak at our events or serving as one of our PMP Certification Instructors, please “Download the Fact Sheet on Volunteers Speakers”

2020 PDD Volunteers-Exploratory Meeting
SUMMARY
(1) The Professional Development Day (PDD) marks the single biggest event for the PMI-Midlands Chapter. This event can’t come together without a willing team of volunteers that commit to the planning and execution of different facets of the event, year-round.
(2) It’s that time of the year again and we are beginning to pull together an army of volunteers to begin the planning of the 2020 PDD. A lot of planning goes into this event. To make the 2020 PDD possible, we are in search of volunteers who are willing to contribute their unique skills, talents and interests to ensure we pull off a successful and hitch-free 2020 PDD.
(3) We therefore welcome you to join the 2020 PDD planning team and be part of history. You can sign-up by attending the first exploratory meeting of the team.
