PDUs: 1 Strategic PDU
In this presentation, we will focus on the daily flow of work against the backdrop of long-term improvements brought about by Project Managers. Often, operational managers are simply trying to survive a whirlwind of activity called a workday. At the same time, Project Managers are tasked with improving the overall operations. Though these two teams seek the same outcome, the focus required to accomplish the different roles can cause friction that may negatively impact the process we are trying to improve.
How can we bridge the gap between long-term solutions and short-term operations metrics? Can two teams of professionals really come together to benefit the overall mission? Bob believes the answer is a resounding YES, and he plans to show us how we can all be successful!
Learning Objectives
At the end of this webinar, participants will understand how to:
- Reduce error and improve efficiency when sharing work between roles.
- Be more aware of potential pitfalls and how to avoid them.
- Balance OM (short-term) and PM (long-term) objectives.
- Form better OM and PM relationships through a better understanding of both roles.

The Speed of Trust by Steven M. R. Covey explains in beautiful detail why trust is the most powerful factor in business and how it works. This presentation will give you the Cliff's Notes version of the book to help you enhance your leadership skills. In his highly acclaimed composition, Covey presents a practical and well-defined worldview of integrity and how to use it to get effective results.
Covey likens trust to an equity fund; the bigger and better it gets, the more it allows you to do awesome stuff. You can survive where others fail, and over time you can dominate. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time to build, and there's no way to rush it. At the same time, you can destroy it very quickly. Join us as we explore how both the building and the destruction happens.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the economics of trust and its powerful use in business
- Learn how to use integrity to get more effective results
- Learn how to use trust as a tool to bolster project success
