Claire Jones, PHR, SHRM‐CP
Director, Human Resources


Claire  Jones,  Director  of  Human  Resources  for  the  SC  Education  Lottery  Commission,  is  an accomplished HR professional with over 10 years of experience. She is responsible for  implementing human  resources  management  strategies  that  enable  the  commission  to operate in an effective and efficient manner in the realm of personnel management. Claire  specializes  in  employee compensation  and  benefits  administration,  employment  law application, human resources information system maintenance, professional development, employee relations, and staffing.

Claire  holds  a  BS  in  Business  (HR  &  Operations  Management  &  Finance)  from  the  University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business. She is certified through the Human  Resources  Certification  Institute  as  a  Human  Resources  Professional  (PHR)  and  through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM‐CP.) Claire also holds a certification in Employee Relations Law through Midlands Technical College.

Additionally,  Claire  serves  on  the  Human  Resources  Committee  for  the  South  Carolina  Chamber of Commerce, is a 2016 graduate Leadership Columbia, where she also served two terms on the Advisory Board post‐graduation, and is an enthusiastic Board Member for the Prisma Health Midlands Foundation.


Claire is a native of the Midlands region, where her love for dance arts started at the young age of three, which she pursued through college.  She  now  enjoys  group  fitness  classes,  travelling,  networking  activities  and  shopping.  More  than  anything  else,  Claire  loves  adventures alongside her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Baylor.
