Managing risk is a topic that fails to get a lot of discussion yet is an area that can cause an otherwise savvy project manager to have a failed project. Join us as we explore risk management best practices and review common and perhaps not so common risk tools.

Dr. Wright is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with extensive experience in medium to large software application projects. He is the president of Wright Management and Consulting Group, a VA-certified small business.
Dr. Wright has managed many multi-million-dollar software projects during his career. In a recent engagement, he led a $10 million project and mentored a team of 12 military, government, and contract personnel on project management tools and methodologies. His recent experiences also include using project management methods to manage the development and use of commercial cell phone technology and applications in government emergency management and military operations.
Dr. Wright has led independent research to develop courses of action and recommendations for decision-makers at the Joint Staff levels. Over the years, he has published articles and presented at professional symposia on many project management topics. He has also taught project management boot camps for the PMP credential and classes on Microsoft Project. Dr. Wright retired from the Army after 32 years of service.
