By some accounts, more than 50 Agile approaches, frameworks, and methodologies are in use today. Many of these approaches are influenced by the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto. We will explore why there is such a diaspora of approaches and the use cases where some of the more common approaches are typically used.
Join us as Derik Pack gives us an overview of four popular Agile flavors, compares and contrasts them, and shares his experiences leading Agile implementations.

Derik Pack is the Section Chair of the Coastal South Carolina Section of IEEE and has worked in the software engineering industry since 2004. His experience ranges from small teams of 3-9 people to groups of teams with more than 100 personnel.
Derik has over a decade of experience using numerous Agile approaches and certifications in that space, including PMI-ACP, DASSM, PSM I, PSM II, PSM III, PSPO I, and SPC 5.0. Part of his current work duties includes coaching teams in Agile approaches.
Most weekends, you'll find Derik working on STEM projects with his children, reading, or working on personal Python software development efforts.
