DURING THE PRESENTATION:

Most of us know what it is like when we arrive late to a party and don't know anyone. Maybe we remember when we started a new school in the middle of the year and did not know who we could trust or befriend? These times can be frustrating, embarrassing, and confusing. When we are thrust into a situation late, most of us know instinctively that they have to catch up to the level of the group. Conversely, when a project manager gets put onto a project while in the execution phase, it is rarely a matter of learning where on the schedule the project team may be because most of the time, the project is over budget and behind schedule.

As an experienced project manager Mr. Kenneth Zenauskas will take the audience through several real-life projects to discover the common pitfalls that PMs fall into in situations like these. Through this lecture you will learn tried and proven methods that will help project management professionals know what to look for and how to begin managing a project in trouble.

BY THE END OF THE PRESENTATION, PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN:

  1. What to do your first week
  2. Identify key risks and discard the nonsense
  3. Uncover the real problems
  4. Learn how to identify missed key stakeholders
  5. Understand the red flags
  6. Restart the project right
  7. Explain “sunk cost” and rebuild a realistic project budget and schedule

KEY TARGET AUDIENCE:

Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT Developers, PMO Directors, and all other persons interested in learning more about breaking down complex projects into simple work packages using a hybrid project management methodology.
