PMI Midlands, Charleston, and Palmetto Chapters!

Join us for this special joint chapter session led by Swetha Chandraprakash, Community Engagement Specialist for PMI North America. Come prepared to hear practical insights and real stories designed to inspire you to attain and maintain your PMP certification.

To start the session, Swetha will walk us through the new PMP process and share expert guidance. Swetha will then lead a panel discussion with representatives from the PMI Midlands, Charleston, and Palmetto Chapters: Larry Mallett, Vivek Sander, and Daniel Prescod. These chapter leaders will share personal insights on earning the PMP and how it has impacted their careers.

Larry Mallett, PMP, PMI-ACP

Larry Mallett is a project and program management leader with more than 25 years of experience delivering technology, operations, and transformation initiatives across government, consulting, telecommunications and media, and healthcare and life sciences. His background includes leadership roles with Deloitte Consulting, the South Carolina Enterprise Information System, the South Carolina Department of Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, Booz Allen Hamilton, and CGI-AMS. Across these roles, he has led complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives involving organizational change, systems implementation, workforce enablement, and service delivery improvement.

Larry is also the founder of PM Century, where he provides consulting, training, and coaching services to help professionals and organizations strengthen project delivery, certification readiness, and leadership capability. As a certified PMP, PMI-ACP, CSP-SM, and instructor, Larry has coached and trained hundreds of professionals in project management and Agile practices. He holds a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida.

Larry currently serves as Vice President of Membership for the PMI South Carolina Midlands Chapter.

 

Vivek Sander, PMP

Vivek Sander is the Director of Engineering at Sunland Logistics Solutions, where he helps design and implement practical, data-driven warehouse solutions that improve performance, reduce cost, and support customer growth. With a background in industrial engineering, lean operations, operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement, he partners closely with operations, IT, business development, and customers to translate complex supply chain challenges into executable solutions. Vivek's work supports Sunland's mission of helping customers do what they do better through lean warehousing, supply chain visibility, advanced technology, and value-added logistics services.

Vivek currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Development for the PMI Palmetto Chapter.

 

Daniel Prescod, PhD, PMP
Director of Mentorship, PMI Charleston SC Chapter

Daniel Prescod is the Director of Patient Access at HopeHealth, Inc., where he leads a team responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction across multiple locations. He holds a PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of Arizona Global Campus, through which he gained the skills and knowledge to design and implement effective organizational strategies and interventions.

With over 15 years of frontline leadership experience in various industries, including retail, banking, and operations, Daniel has a proven track record of enhancing processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools. He also has 12 years of military training and leadership experience in Logistics and Aircraft Maintenance, which he credits with instilling the values of discipline, teamwork, and excellence. Daniel is passionate about improving the quality of care and access for the patients and communities served by HopeHealth.

Daniel currently serves as the Director of Mentorship for the PMI Charleston SC Chapter.
