DESCRIPTION: An environment of trust is a major factor in “successful” project implementation. This presentation can help the target audience embrace the use of coaching to improve relationship management by fostering trust between project team members and organization executives. During this presentation, Frederick Griffin, of SC DHEC will share his experience and short exercises to demonstrate how to integrate individual and team coaching during the Project Development Life Cycle (PDLC).

Frederick is a Project Manager for Public Health Applications at the Department of Health & Environmental Control in South Carolina. In this role he is responsible deploying systems related to newborn screening of abnormal health conditions; and infectious disease monitoring and tracking. His goal is to help develop individuals, teams and organizations through positive experiences of leadership; project management; and organizational development. Frederick brings 30 years of experience from the Dept of Defense. He holds a master’s degree in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University; a master’s degree in Organizational Development from Bruneau University; and a bachelor’s in information technology from University of Phoenix. Frederick is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP # 870727) and is in the process of obtaining a certification in individual life coaching from the Professional Christian Coaching Institute. Frederick serves as the Executive Director of a faith-based nonprofit focused on developing adults to higher personal growth through education, coaching and community partnerships.
